Snowflake Mittens

These mittens are knit on the Brother KX 350, with a dk weight superwash wool (T2.5) The snowflake motif is knit in handspun angora/wool blend. After spinning,  I boiled the skein in soapy water, occasionally wringing it (with thick rubber gloves on..very handy) and then plunged it into cold water, to "pre-full" the yarn, so that it won't shrink when the mittens are washed. This "yarn abuse" did indeed produce a felted yarn, with a nice angora halo
