 The Pleasant Spindle ™*
~a lap or tabletop supported spindle~

Back by popular demand! (a re-release of the 1998 classic)

This  quiet, attractive, modified wooden supported spindle rides in a wooden base (in your lap or on a tabletop) and is amazingly versatile!
Ideal for spinning angora, silk and cotton, it is equally handy with wool when drafting distance is limited such as in the car or seated in public.
Weighing 53 gms, its heavy pointed metal tip gives it balance and added momentum for a longer supported spin when spinning heavier fibers. The pointed tip rides a depression in the wood and can be stored upright in its "parking hole".
Hardwood with an oak base and shaft, it measures 8 inches from bottom tip to brass hook, which is well placed for smooth transition from winding on to resumption of spindling. Comes with oak base and instructions.
